Welcome to Kitty Muse!

So wonderful to meet you...let's start,

Definition of "Muse"

1. A verb: To be absorbed in thought, to ponder in the moment,
2. A noun: The source of an artist's inspiration,
3. Part of the word amuse; the feeling of being entertained, happy.

And so far, all three words applies to cats one way or another...

Lexi staring outside.

Sadie distracted...again.

I am not an expert in cats; just someone who's had the pleasure of their company either briefly or forever as both my husband and I have been honoured with all of their companionship's.

Our late boys, Felix & Oscar, lived to a ripe old age (19 & 20) and we'd like to think we did the best in providing a good, long and enjoyable life for them.  And we missed out in bragging about them online as they grew to be part of our family.

But not so now.  I decided we should put up stories and interesting little bits about our girls and share with anyone who has a cat or two.  We are proud owners (cat parents) of two young girls, Lexi 4 and Sadie 3 as you can see the photo's above.  Both of them were rescues. Lexi was found from the organization called "The Forgotten Ones" and lived with her Foster parents for several months before we chose her.  A tiny gray Tabby with a spit fire personality, complete with adorable antics to get your attention. Sadie was introduced to us by a friend who works at an independent boutique pet store in our neighbourhood, The Kennel Cafe (Roncesvalles location) and under the care by "Aunt" Ester the owner.  She was surrendered to this store along with her kittens to which all found permanent homes, except for Sadie.  And a good thing too, as we scooped her up into our arms and fell instantly in love with her charming personality and beauty.  So they both live with us along with a Leopard Gecko lizard named Cheddar.

So like most other cat blogs out there, gleaning and sharing information is what it's all about.  I'm hoping that you may find some of my information useful and of course I am open to new options to refine the art of looking after our pets.

Cats, whether they are in the moment transfixed to a bird outdoors, running around chasing their tails or simply deep in their afternoon siesta, they've definitely defined that word "muse" well.

So, what's the story about your cat?  Share a comment or two...
